IBM solution for ESB
September 24, 2005
It is the turn of IBM launched its ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), WebSphere BSE. The product also includes a server, a modeler and a monitor business process, an assembler of components and a set of best practices for SOA.Although this new product is identified as an ESB, IBM maintains that it already had a BSE with WebSphere Message Broker. The broker messages supports Web services and provides communication mechanisms as BizTalk, Java Message Service and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
WebSphere BSE is limited to Web services protocols (WSDL, SOAP) and BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) to provide connectivity and processing data.
WebSphere BSE and the modeler (Business Modeler) are planned for the end of the year, the server business processes (Process Server) by the end of the month, the monitor (Business Monitor) for next year. The Process Server technology could be released to the open source community.
